By February 1937, Australia is crawling out of the
Great Depression, but greater dangers lurk on the
horizon. Young country lad, Sebastian Carmichael
is trying to make ends meet in the tough inner
suburbs of Melbourne, when he is joined by his
bubbly sister, Lettie.

 

A chance encounter with passionate university student, William Reinecke
and his beautiful girlfriend, Elaine, lead them into a
Melbourne society ready to boil over with political
tensions.
The events that follow could take them to the other
side of a world hurtling unstoppably towards war.
